I love how my almost 16 month old little girl can fill my day with such joy. Yesterday I had to stay home from work because she had a fever the day before and day care said she could not come back to 24 hours.
We started the day at about 2:30 am when she woke up. I rocked her back to sleep and she stayed asleep for about an hour. When I tried rocking her back again she would wake up when I would lay her down. So we went to the recliner in the living room and both slept until about 6:30 when my wife woke me up. I did not want to put her back in her crib because I thought she would wake up. So for the first second time in her life she got to sleep in mom and dad's bed. Once we woke up we spent the morning hanging out and then went shopping for mothers day. We got mom a new ring with baby girls birth stone, and a new wallet. We spent the evening playing and having a good time. Once bath time was over she was ready for bed. I actualy got to go to bed early for once. I was in bed at 8:00 pm, but she woke back up at 9 pm.
The worst feeling to me is when my child is sick. You are doing a great time.
ReplyDeleteJust remember the sweet cuddly times they really fly by! Good job on the mother's day presents. She will treasure them. Enjoy the day with your family.
ReplyDeleteGood job, I do not miss any of that. I least you was able to get some sleep. Nothing like having a sick baby and the parent has not had enough rest. Make for a frustrating day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good dad! Hope she's feeling better :)
ReplyDeleteIt is truly amazing the joy that children can bring to your life. Sounds like you are a good papa! :)
ReplyDeleteAny recommendations of late night TV? Married with Children has always been a favorite of mine. I have also wasted a lot of time getting caught up in late night infomercials.
